Account Manager

Air Van Inc is dedicated to delivering top-tier logistics solutions to our clients. As an industry leader, we prioritize excellence and are looking for a dynamic Account Manager to join our growing team.Job Description:As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our transportation carriers and providers. Your responsibilities will include negotiating rates, monitoring service levels, and providing guidance to our Carrier Sales team. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within our branch’s house accounts, collaborating with customers on transportation requirements, and ensuring seamless scheduling and dispatching of trucks and rail cars.Key Responsibilities:– Negotiate rates and services with transportation carriers and providers.– Monitor carrier service levels using our Visual Freight Tracking system.– Provide direction and pricing guidelines for the Carrier Sales team.– Identify growth opportunities within house accounts.– Prepare and distribute “load-build” reports for customers and carriers.– Work directly with customers on transportation requirement requests.– Address errors or issues as a next-level reviewer.– Proactively handle customer shipment routing requests.– Utilize transportation software systems for material movement and scheduling.– Track and trace shipments to provide accurate updates to customers.– Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through accurate and timely scheduling/dispatching.Minimum Qualifications:– High School diploma.– 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or a related field.– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.– Experience with transportation management systems.– Strong mathematical skills for pricing and negotiating.– Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational abilities.– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.– Outstanding interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.– Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.Preferred Qualifications:– College degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.– 5 years of industry experience.If you’re ready to take your career to the next level and join a dynamic team dedicated to success, apply now to become our newest Account Manager.
